When you shell out $13 million for anything it has to be nothing short of the best thing in the world and at that price tag the Rolls-Royce Sweptail ticks all the boxes.
Rolls-Royce Sweptail was launched recently at the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este. The car can’t be bought off the dealership considering it is only available on a made to order basis. The magnificent Sweptail will be delivered to you four years after you place your order. This intercontinental tourer once again proves that Rolls-Royce continues to dominate the luxury car scene and will continue to do so for years to come.
While the Sweptail is a stunning car and every single thing about it noteworthy, some of the things worth mentioning include the massive grille that is larger than any of the cars available today. The girlle has been milled from solid aluminium before being hand-polished to a mirror finish.
Next up is the fancy mid-shelf with an illuminated glass lip and a massive hat shelf with luggage rails means no rear seats. The luggage space in the trunk remains more than adequate, not unlike the 6.75-liter V12’s power delivery.
In order to keep the lines on the Sweptail as as clean as a sleek yacht, Rolls-Royce managed to wrap the bodywork under the car with no visible boundary to the surfaces, preparing your eyes for the main attraction swept-tail back.
The Sweptail’s single-piece panoramic roof is one of the largest and most complex pieces of glass ever put on a car which is most attractive from the top of the car.
Giles Taylor, Director of Design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, equates Sweptail to an automotive equivalent of Haute Couture. The Sweptail has been designed and hand-tailored to fit a specific customer:
